It's hard to see her sad face in the little photo here, but I have uploaded her photo taken at the shelter. You can see how unhappy she is.

I've also uploaded copies of the bills from my vet. These total the amount of the ChipIn.

This poor little girl lost her owner, who was placed in a care facility, and then lost her family when they chose to dump her in a Los Angeles shelter rather than take care of her for what life she has left. Barbie's teeth were in horrible condition, and her health did not appear that good, either. She has a heart murmur and she would not eat. Even after cleaning her teeth -- and pulling six of them to help her feel better -- she shows little interest in food.

I'm sure Barbie is miserable without her person, who she spent her whole life with until very recently. I am trying to help her understand that the world can be worth enjoying again. It's a tough battle, but I can't give up on her. She's already been abandoned. Any and all help toward her vet bills -- teeth cleaning, x-rays of her heart (she has a murmur) to ensure that she could undergo surgery, special food to put some weight on her, and blood work -- would be greatly appreciated.

She deserves to live whatever life she has left in comfort and peace. I hope to be able to provide that for her.
